Chapter 3 Stunned

3: Stunned

However, she didn't want to share these things with her brother.

‘What did it have to do with him? Why was he acting like her real brother?’

"Ren Zizheng, let's play a game, okay?" She looked out the window, "Whoever speaks next is a dog."

So, until they stopped the car, until they entered the house, until Ren Zhizhao signaled him to help her cover up, Ren Zizheng didn't say another word to her.

He walked straight towards Wang Hua, who was coming towards the door, and used his tall body to block her way, hugging her back into the kitchen, "Mom, look what delicious food you made."

With her brother's diversion, Ren Zhizhao quietly sneaked upstairs, washed off the black coal on her face, and frantically took off all the chains that were tangled together, and stripped off her revealing outfit.

After taking it off, she realized that she hadn't closed the curtains.

But it didn't matter.

From the window of her room, there was a one-story bungalow some distance away, which should be too far to see her clearly.

Further ahead was Lake Ontario, which wasn't as direct and magnificent as the cliff park, but could still be seen.

Thanks to that bungalow, although they were separated from the lake by a street, their house could still be considered a "lake view" house.

"Zhao Zhao, come down for dinner!"

Wang Hua's shout brought Ren Zhizhao's thoughts back. She quickly put on a little girl's outfit and hurried downstairs.

Ren Zizheng looked at his sister, who had transformed into a normal person, sitting at the table with her hands on her head, tying her hair into a ponytail, looking fresh and clean, with a bare face. Her eyes were a bit smaller, and there was still some black residue in the corners that she hadn't wiped off, which was quite funny.

"Come, Zizheng, these are washed in the dishwasher." Wang Hua reached across her daughter's body and handed Ren Zizheng a pair of chopsticks and a bowl, then went to get the dishes.

He took the bowl and chopsticks, looked at his sister, then looked at the direction of the kitchen, his eyes a bit lost. He took some alcohol from the side cabinet and sprayed it on a paper towel, carefully wiping chopsticks with it.

"You're sick!"
Right at this time Ren Jun’s voice echoed, who was coming from behind.

Ren Zizheng knew he was sick. But there was no way, if he didn't do these things, his whole body would feel uncomfortable.

"What are you talking about?" Wang Hua came with two dishes and put one down, "Come, this is your favorite, hairy crab with rice cake. It's not as good as the one in Shanghai, but you'll have to make do."

The steaming dish was placed in front of Ren Zhizhao. The last time she went back to Shanghai was at the beginning of last year, when Wang Hua returned to China to divorce her biological father. Unfortunately, the season wasn't right, so she couldn't eat hairy crab with rice cake.

‘Damn it, I had almost forgotten what authentic hairy crab with rice cake tasted like.’

"Zizheng, try this sweet and sour pork." Wang Hua put down the other dish, "Last time I used the wrong starch, this time I specially bought potato starch to fry it, but it's still not as good as the one your dad makes."

Ren Zizheng used the public chopsticks to pick up a piece of shiny meat and put it in the bowl, then used his disinfected chopsticks to pick it up and put it in his mouth, "It's already very good, Mom."

Ren Zhizhao looked at his sick behavior and rolled her eyes on the side.

‘How could there be a Chinese person who eats like this? Weren't they supposed to act like a family? Why use public chopsticks?’

Anyway, as long as it was one of Ren Zizheng's bad habits, the family would always indulge him.

How could she stop the urge to roll her eyes? If she kept rolling her eyes like this, she really worried that she would get an eye disease.

She could only stuff her mouth with the soup-soaked rice cake to block out the disturbance of this chaotic scene.

"Don't just stare at the carbs!"

However, stuffing her mouth with rice cake wasn't enough. Ren Zhizhao was fed a piece of bitter gourd by her mother.

"Eat more bitter gourd, it's good for reducing internal heat."

Ren Zhizhao couldn't eat anything bitter. She threw the bitter gourd into Wang Hua's bowl.

"No picky eating! Bitter gourd is hard to buy here."

‘Is it hard to buy because it's so bad...?’

The poor bitter gourd was caught in the tug-of-war and was thrown back into Ren Zhizhao's bowl.

Ren Zhizhao didn't want to open her mouth, so she didn't even look and directly threw the bitter gourd into the bowl next to Ren Zizheng.

After doing this action, Ren Zhizhao's scalp went numb.

She realized it too late.

She threw a piece of bitter gourd that had been in her mouth, with her saliva on it, into her brother's bowl, who was a germaphobe...

Not only her, but Wang Hua and Ren Jun were also stunned.

Of course, the person involved was also stunned.

However, he only froze for about three seconds, then picked up the piece of bitter gourd and ate it.
